Dear All,

I am new to the forum and testosterone issues in general. I hope someone will be kind enough to offer their opinion.

Me: 29, 165lbs (have put on 10 lbs over the last year despite no changes in diet and exercise), healthy eater, no alcohol, no tobacco, no drugs.

History: no trauma to testicles, never used steroids, took accutane as an 18 year old, no history of depression and never used SSRIs. Possibly caught dengue in Sudan in 2011 although not formally diagnosed. I have seen a tropical disease specialist and had a battery of tests. They do not believe I have any kind of parasite or disease causing these symptoms.

My story: Over the last three years I've had bouts of chronic fatigue, mild depression and libido has plummeted. Generally can't stay up past 9:30 PM. Get chills in the evenings sometimes. Often get aches and pains early evening. Basically, I feel wiped out a lot of the time. The past 6 months has been particularly bad, hence a visit to the doctor.

The doctor initially wanted to check my thyroid, I requested test to be added. Just a gut feeling I have had for a while.

These are obviously low and the Dr referred me to an endocrinologist. We repeated the tests, plus a few others.

Endoc Notes:
Neither the low TSH nor the low testosterone were seen. Testosterone levels fluctuate, but the normal level and the normal LH and FSH indicate that your pituitary-gonadal axis is intact. Other tests are also normal.
If symptoms persist, another testosterone measurement would be of value.

It seems as though it is case closed as far as the endocrinologist is concerned. The problem is that I have been symptomatic for some time, and remain so.

Any ideas? Has anyone my age and background had similar numbers? I would greatly appreciate some feedback.
