Why men today have much lower testosterone levels than their fathers and grandfathers
2006-1210 testdecline.png
Part of the issue as to why our levels of testosterone with each generation are lower and lower. It is reported that we have 1/3 the levels our grandfathers do. Environmental estrogens are the big issue. Estrogen drives our testosterone levels down. There are incredible high levels of estrogens in our environment mainly caused by BPA's in our plastics. The feminization of the american man.
Younger and younger men are being treated more and more every day. It is not uncommon to see testosterone levels plateau and start declining in men around the age of 30. Some men are even being diagnosed as early as 25. One of the largest recent studies found strong evidence of a decline of more than 1.3% per year in men’s blood testosterone levels during the last two decades. We are facing an epidemic now with men having much lower testosterone levels then our fathers and grandfathers had. Low testosterone was almost non-existent before the 1980s.
Though highly unusual 20-30 yrs ago, it is now becoming almost common to see men in their 30’s with testosterone levels equivalent to that of 60 year old men. Recent studies have found environmental impacts on testosterone levels. For example, testosterone levels were lower in US Air Force veterans exposed to dioxins while spraying Agent Orange during the Vietnam War, as well as men exposed at work to phthalates (endocrine destructing chemicals commonly used to make plastics). The graph above shows testosterone levels are declining at an accelerated rate in recent years due to obesity, medications such as statins, opioids and SSRI's, pollutants (petrochemical), food additives that cause silent inflammation and free radicals destroying organ tissue accelerating ageing.

The Reason behind this is stress and market competition. 40-50 years ago the competition was not so big and people were not so much skilled. But in today's age we have to struggle at every point with competition. We sleep late get up early and all day we stay in stress of work.
These are some main reasons that men today have much lower testosterone levels than their fathers and grandfathers.
