New to Testosterone. Need Guidance

So first let me say hello to everyone and thanks in advance for any help provided. I've been feeling quite sluggish and have pretty much had all the symptoms of Low T for awhile except the ED problems. Was finally tested last week and Testosterone came back low. I eagerly started TRT as I've been having brain fog, extreme fatigue, very moody, a lot of soreness all around, depression, etc. etc.

Ok, so I have many questions. First I'm 31 years old, and have been experiencing the symptoms for some time, but it went overlooked. My DR. ran these tests and I came back with Low T. She has put me on 50MG once per week and said she's starting at a (low dose), so realistically we'll have to increase that a bit in all likelyhood.

One of the things that's worrying me a bit is that my DR. definitely doesn't deal with this type of thing. She has mostly younger (college aged) patients and certainly hasn't dealt with this much. She seems to have skipped a whole bunch of things on the test that have been said to be important. I'm just wondering what I should ask to be tested for. I just had my very first 50MG injection today of Testosterone Cypionate. I have many questions, but I'm not sure where to start really. I've just been reading a lot and have a lot to figure out.

My wife and I have plans to start trying to have a baby in about 6 months, which I have incidentally heard is about how long it takes for Testosterone to turn you sterile. I don't want to have to wait a lot longer while I take something to boost sperm production, so I've heard that HMG may be needed in addition to the T Cyp. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. Also, any advise on if I should ditch my DR. and get and Endo specialist, please let me know. The one good thing about keeping this DR. is that she's very willing to work with me, so I think she would be willing to go with whatever I thought was doing the best for me. It just makes me a bit nervous that she's inexperienced with this, and makes me think at least one of us should have some knowledge. lol. Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, any guys that have been on this for awhile who wouldn't mind answering some questions, that would be really awesome if you had a bit of time. Thanks for your time and any advice.

Things you'll want to have checked on your standard follow up blood test:

CBC
CMP
Lipids
PSA
Total Test
Free Test
E2 sensitive

It's not a bad idea to have the following checked once in awhile either:
Vitamin D
Vitamin B
Thyroid
DHEA
IGF-1
These do not necessarily need to be part of your regular follow ups, but they're good things to look at once a year or so.

If you want to still have children and you're on TRT, you'll want to include HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) in your plan. 250-500iu 2x/wk is the normal dosing range.

Lastly, do not get caught up in doctor titles. Often endocrinologist are the worst doctors in the world for TRT, not always but far more often than not. There are numerous reasons for this. Find a good doctor who understands testosterone, that's all that matters. As for your doctor, if she's willing to work with you and is learning more and more about TRT, that's a good thing. One thing is for certain, TRT is not difficult medicine, the problem is most do not take the time to learn the simple steps.
